About this app
SafeHaven is an Android app store that is focused on trust, source visibility, and very clear app metadata. Apps can be linked to their source repositories, verified against developer ownership, scanned before release, and rechecked after being made available.
What is SafeHaven?
SafeHaven is an Android app distribution platform built around transparency. Instead of using the 'trust me bro' methology, SafeHaven aims to show where the app comes from, whether the source has been verified, and if it has passed all malware checks.
Trust layers
- Source linked
Apps can include a public source repository.
- Verified Source
The developer proves control of the linked repository by adding a .safehaven file in that repo during setup.
- Unverified listings
Community or imported apps can be listed without claiming developer ownership.
- APK scanning
Submitted APKs are scanned before they are approved.
- Rechecks
Apps can be rescanned after release to keep metadata fresh.
App submissions
- Developers can register and manage their apps. SafeHaven checks submitted APKs through its scan pipeline before they become available in the public catalog. - Community/imported listings are kept separate from verified developer listings.

What's new
- Beta Update Log:
- ・Added new feature: Flawless Updates This creates a foreground service to keep the app alive, whilst consuming almost no extra battery. This allows for apps to be updated without the constraints of work manager (updates can be checked for every 5 mins vs 12 hours)
- ・Improved the UI of the 'All apps' list.
- ・The app cards in the catalogue were messy, they have been improved for consistency. The ratings are now aligned perfectly, and the 'Get/Update' buttons are the same size.
- Server changes:
- ・9e5e0b9: fixed the initial scan handler in store.js. It now checks sha-256 to avoid duplication Also fixed the rescan handler in store.js. ・9714b95: App objects now get merged with their latest package entry. Previous version lead to silent failures, which also lead to fdroid apps being several versions behind... ・25c5c13: push script now uploads the full index to R2 before chunking ・4e77e26: added 'ctx.waitUntil(runUpstreamPolls(env));'
