What's new
- RuStore
- Checks as four devices at once. RuStore rolls a new version out to a share of devices at a time, so a device can wait days for an update another already has. The check now asks as four kept devices in one go (a fraction of a second each) and takes the newest version any of them is offered; the file is then fetched as that same device. If that device cannot deliver it, the next one is used. Measured on 89 RuStore apps, 13 of them mid-rollout: one device saw the newest version of 8, four devices of 11.
- On by default. To turn it off: Settings, "Check as 4 devices" under RuStore. "New device" now re-rolls all four.
- Custom repositories
- Export and import of the list on the custom repositories screen: a plain text file, one link per line, with the linked app's package if there is one. Import adds the missing repositories and leaves the existing ones alone. It also reads owner/repo lines and whole settings files.
- Importing settings no longer replaces the custom repositories: they are merged the same way. An older settings file used to erase every repository added after it.
- Logs
- Copy App Logs carries the app's own journal: what was installed, from where and how, whether the confirmation came as a dialog or a notification, and how it ended; which sources failed during a check. It does not depend on the ROM letting apps read the system log, which came back empty in two recent reports.
- The device model, Android version and install method now head the dump.
- Android TV
- The Home search field no longer opens the keyboard when focus lands on it with the D-pad. Press OK to type; Back closes the keyboard.
- Search
- ё and е count as the same letter: «пятерочка» finds Пятёрочка.
