Blipbird

A flight companion for Android.

Enter one or more flight numbers (CA861, CCA861, CCA861/CA861, or paste a whole list) with an optional date and a friendly name, and Blipbird shows a departure-board list of your flights, a rich detail dossier with a live-updating route map, a flight ribbon visualizing daylight/darkness and weather along the whole route, and sends notifications for the moments that matter — delays, gate changes, departure, landing, cancellation.

A body clock card turns the time-zone change into something you can act on: the exact shift, what time you land on the clock your body is still keeping, and — clearly labeled as a rule of thumb rather than a measurement — which way and how long the adjustment runs, plus when to seek and avoid bright light on the first day. It is computed entirely on-device from the bundled airport time zones; no extra key, quota, or permission, and no sleep or health data is collected.

You can also create a local itinerary: name a travel plan, add two or more flights with an independently confirmed departure-airport date for each, set their explicit order, and describe each break as a direct connection, destination stay, surface transfer, or unknown. Existing ungrouped flights can be selected into an itinerary without duplication or a network lookup. The organizer works offline; live connection windows and transfer guidance are not claimed while their provider-rights and occurrence-identity gates remain open.

Not every card earns its place for every traveler: Settings → Flight dossier hides the map, ribbon, body clock, weather, or airline card. Hiding the weather or ribbon also skips their third-party requests, so it saves lookups rather than just tidying up. The countdown, key facts, and timeline always stay.
