Tools — see and name what is around you

Requirements

- Android 8.0 (API 26) or newer - Bluetooth and Wi-Fi hardware - Location permission is required by Android for scan results on all versions - Android 12+ uses BLUETOOTH_SCAN without the neverForLocation flag so the same code path works on API 26–30

Known limits

- Android throttles Wi-Fi scans hard by default. Developer options can turn that off, and the preflight check says when it is biting. - Aggressive OEM battery managers may kill a foreground service anyway. Exempt SigEye from battery optimisation if a long recording has gaps. - Original-equipment tyre pressure sensors transmit at 315/433 MHz, which no phone has a receiver for. That needs an SDR.
