🐉 HydraVPN — Multi-Protocol VPN Client for Android

HydraVPN is an open-source Android VPN client built with Jetpack Compose, designed to bring multiple VPN and proxy technologies together under a unified configuration and management interface.

The project focuses on flexible configuration import, subscription management, split tunneling and support for different networking engines.

🌐 Multi-Protocol Architecture

HydraVPN is designed to work with several protocol families and VPN cores, including:

• VLESS • VMess • Trojan • Shadowsocks • Hysteria2 • TUIC • WireGuard • AmneziaWG • SSTP • L2TP

The architecture can use sing-box, Xray, AmneziaWG and native Kotlin-based networking components depending on the selected protocol.

🔧 Multiple VPN Engines

HydraVPN uses a modular core architecture instead of relying on a single networking engine:

• sing-box • Xray • AmneziaWG • Userspace SSTP/L2TP • Additional experimental engines

This design allows the project to evolve and add different connection technologies without changing the main application workflow.

📦 Subscription & Configuration Import

Import subscriptions from supported panels and services, including x-ui, 3x-ui, PasarGuard and Remnawave.

HydraVPN also supports individual links such as:

• VLESS • VMess • Trojan • Shadowsocks • Hysteria2 • TUIC • WireGuard • AmneziaWG • SSTP • L2TP

WireGuard and AmneziaWG ".conf" files and supported deep links can also be imported.

✂️ Split Tunneling

Choose how applications use the VPN connection:

• Route all traffic • Tunnel only selected applications • Exclude selected applications from the tunnel

This provides flexible control over application-level traffic routing.

📊 Traffic Statistics

Monitor network activity through the built-in traffic statistics interface. HydraVPN also provides connection logs and a foreground notification for active VPN sessions.

🎨 Modern Compose Interface

The application uses Jetpack Compose for its Android interface and includes a dark-themed UI focused on configuration management and connection control.

🧩 Modular Architecture

HydraVPN separates its user interface, configuration storage, subscription management and VPN cores into dedicated components. Server data is managed through Room, while split-tunneling preferences use Android DataStore.

🛠️ Active Development

HydraVPN is an evolving open-source project. Some networking cores and experimental protocols are still under development or require native ".aar" components and device testing before they can be used as complete production features.

HydraVPN is released under the GNU GPL-3.0 license. Its source code is publicly available for inspection, development and community contributions.

📱 Android

HydraVPN is currently an Android-only project. iOS and desktop versions are planned for future development through a broader multiplatform architecture.
