Description: An app doesn't allow saving, but it can share? No problem! Have you ever encountered this situation: you are using an app (say, a banking app) and you urgently need to export a file (say, a statement in PDF). You want to download this file locally to your device, but the app doesn't offer an easy way to do this, all it offers is the ability to share the file, and you have to send it to yourself (or someone else) via email or chat, only then will you be able to save this file. This happens because many apps decide to use the sharing option instead of implementing the required ability to save the file. So, what can you do? This is where this "Save Locally" app comes in handy, you simply select it from the "Share" menu that appears, and it allows you to save the file to any location on your device, and also shows you information about the file in advance (although you can skip this). There is also an option to intercept the "Open With" action, allowing you to save files even if the original app tries to use the default view for that file type. Save Locally is a free application developed with Jetpack Compose. The source code is available at github.com/MateusRodCosta/SaveLocally and is licensed under the AGPLv3+.
