AM++

AM++ is an Android enhancement module injected into Apple Music via the libxposed API 102, targeting the package com.apple.android.music. It does not replace the player itself, but rather complements the original Apple Music playback flow by adding enhancements such as a tablet two‑column player, bidirectional lyrics blur, custom lyrics injection, lyrics font replacement, and phone liquid glass effects.

The module embeds its settings page within Apple Music's own settings interface, providing an "AM++ Module Settings" entry in Apple Music's settings list. The current main branch does not declare a standalone launcher Activity. On first launch, it migrates old configurations from libxposed remote preferences/remote file; afterwards, settings and files are saved in Apple Music's host private directory.

The core logic for bidirectional lyrics blur is ported and adapted from a23bc/amlyricblur.

⚠️ Important note: This is a half‑finished product with many bugs. Screenshots work fine, though.

Compatibility & Limitations

- Android 8.0 (API 26) and above - Xposed Framework supporting libxposed API 102, remote preferences, and remote file implementations - Apple Music versions: 6.5.0 (1580), 6.5.1 (1583), 6.5.2 (1586) - Bidirectional Lyrics Blur requires Android 12 (API 31) or higher

Keep in mind:

- Apple Music's internal classes and resources change with each version; unlisted versions are not guaranteed to work. - Feature toggles do not hot‑unload hooks; you must force‑stop and restart Apple Music after changes. - Custom TTML file size limit: 512 KiB; font file size limit: 16 MiB. - Phone Liquid Glass is still a work in progress.

Installation

Prerequisites:

- Apple Music installed - Xposed Framework with libxposed API 102 support (check the framework core API version, not just the Manager app) - Android 8.0 or higher

Steps:

1. Download and install the AM++ APK. 2. Enable AM++ in LSPosed or a compatible Xposed Manager. 3. Add only Apple Music (com.apple.android.music) to the scope. 4. Force‑stop and reopen Apple Music. 5. Open Apple Music → Settings, find "AM++ Module Settings". Verify the page shows "Connected to libxposed API 102" before changing settings.

After any change, force‑stop and reopen Apple Music. The settings entry is inside Apple Music, not a separate launcher icon.

Usage

Bidirectional Lyrics Blur: Enable it in settings. The highlighted line stays sharp while lines before and after blur. Scroll manually to temporarily remove the blur; after about 1 second of idle scrolling, the effect resumes at the current highlight.

You can adjust the blur radius (-10..+10px) for fine‑tuning. This feature requires Android 12 or higher.

Custom Lyrics:

1. Go to "Custom Lyrics" in settings. 2. Click "Get ID" to read the Apple Music ID, title, and artist from the currently playing song (or enter them manually). 3. Choose a source: paste/import TTML, import from AMLL by Apple Music ID, or import NetEase Cloud YRC lyrics by song ID. 4. Save the mapping and enable it. 5. Force‑stop and reopen Apple Music.

You can edit, delete, and search custom lyrics by name or ID. Lyrics are validated (size, structure, hash) before injection; if validation fails, Apple Music's original lyrics are kept.

Custom lyrics also support ZIP backup and restore, with an option to overwrite conflicts.

AMLL and NetEase Cloud imports require an internet connection and are user‑triggered. The module never auto‑fetches lyrics during playback.

Lyrics Font:

1. Select a TTF or OTF file in the "Lyrics Font" section. 2. Wait for the import to complete. 3. Force‑stop and reopen Apple Music. 4. To revert, click "Restore Original Font" and restart the app.

Only the player's lyrics are affected; system fonts and the AM++ settings UI remain unchanged.

Phone Liquid Glass:

Enable "Phone Liquid Glass Bottom Bar" and restart Apple Music. This modifies the phone's bottom navigation bar and mini‑player background with real‑time blur and selection animations. Some visual glitches may still occur.

Privacy & Permissions

- The INTERNET permission is used only for user‑initiated AMLL and NetEase Cloud imports. - No automatic song identification or lyrics fetching happens during playback. - No storage or notification runtime permissions are requested; local files are read via the Android file picker. - Pre‑migration configuration comes from Xposed remote preferences/remote file. After that, all settings and files are stored in Apple Music's private directory. - No analytics services are included. The launcher icon state is saved locally by the Android PackageManager.
