GoConsoleOS Portable is designed to turn a Windows 11 PC into a controller-first gaming experience that can run from a USB drive without requiring changes to the host Windows installation. The project includes a fullscreen console shell, game-library integration, controller support, performance modes, an in-game overlay, profiles, and additional GoConsoleOS services. The Portable experience is also supported by the GoConsoleOS Android companion project. Its `apps/portable` module provides access to Portable USB tools, GoConsoleOS Link, USB Health, Cast, GoAI, GoStore, and Screenshot features. The companion system communicates with the GoConsoleOS host over the local network for discovery, game-library functions, USB information, casting, and tool control. One of the things we like most about the project is its focus on making a normal Windows 11 PC feel more like a dedicated gaming console while keeping Windows underneath.
