RuStore: updates no longer silently go missing
Removed a quarantine that did real damage: if RuStore once answered with an error for a package, that package was skipped for seven days — and it was excluded at the batch-request stage, which is a single request no matter how many packages it carries. So the exclusion saved nothing and merely guaranteed a week of silence. Every installed app is now always included in the check. If such a blocklist already built up on your device, it stops mattering the moment you install 115 — nothing to clear, the update check no longer reads it. RuStore throttles requests aggressively, and a single unlucky rate-limit response used to drop an app from the entire check without a word. The check now retries three times with a growing pause. Known limitation (not fixable here) Sometimes the RuStore app shows a newer version than APKUpdater does. That is not a bug on our side: we show exactly what RuStore's public interface returns, and it lags behind the RuStore client. The client is signed in, reports your device and takes part in staged rollouts, while the public catalog keeps serving the previously published version for a while. Verified directly against the API — the version we are given is genuinely older, and the claimed client version makes no difference. It usually catches up within a few days.
Note on Play Protect Google Play Protect may warn "Harmful app blocked" when sideloading this APK. This is a false positive triggered by the background-update capability (the same mechanism F-Droid and Obtainium use).
