About this app

Your Spotify + YouTube Music library, on your phone, in FLAC.

Stash mirrors your Spotify and YouTube Music libraries to your Android phone. You connect each service, pick the playlists and mixes you want, and Stash either downloads them as real FLAC files for offline playback or surfaces them as a streaming index so you can stream tracks without filling up your storage. Same library, two modes, one tap to switch.

There's no Stash account. No subscription. No ads. No analytics. Your credentials live on your phone, encrypted, and the only network traffic Stash makes is to Spotify and YouTube themselves.

Home screen — Daily Mixes, sync stats, supporter pill Now Playing — FLAC 24/44 lossless

Online vs Offline Stash has two modes. They decide what a sync actually does.

Offline mode Sync downloads each track as a FLAC file (or the closest lossless source available) and stores it on your phone. Once a track is on disk you can play it forever with no connection. It costs storage but no recurring data.

Online mode is for people who don't want the storage hit. Builds a streamable local index of your library — Almost no storage, but you need a connection to play.

The FLAC backbone - QBDLX — a program that downloads streams directly from Qobuz. - arcod These are run by people doing it for the love of it — mostly solo, mostly free. They're the whole reason Stash can hand you a real lossless file instead of a re-encode. If Stash earns a spot on your phone, send a little of that their way: a thank-you, a tip, whatever you've got. We stand on their shoulders. 🙏

Library - Spotify + YouTube Music in one unified library — liked songs, playlists, daily mixes, every Spotify mix worth syncing - Bulletproof matching — finds the right version of a track 99% of the time - Last.fm scrobbling, optional, off by default - Wrong-match flag — if Stash picked the wrong version, tap once from Now Playing and it queues a re-search - Likes and History mirroring — When enabled, each track you like & stream in Stash lands in your Spotify & YouTube accounts.

Playback - 5-band equalizer with presets, bass boost, virtualizer - Crossfader - Normalizer - Synced lyrics, pulled from LRCLIB and scrolled with the track

Privacy - No Stash servers. No accounts. No analytics. No third-party crash reporters. - Cookies stored on-device, encrypted with AES-256-GCM via Google's Tink - The only network requests Stash makes are to Spotify and YouTube directly - GPL-3.0, every line of code is open source

What's new

v0.9.119Oct 23, 2026
  • 🎯 What's new - Downloads are much faster. YouTube recently blocked the way Stash fetched songs quickly, so every download was taking about a minute. Stash now uses a way that works, and downloads are many times faster again. Streaming songs from YouTube is quicker too. - Opus downloads never get stuck. A song YouTube only has in AAC used to fail in Opus mode and get retried on every sync. It now downloads in AAC instead. - Settings, redone. Every page is shorter, with one line of text per switch instead of paragraphs. Audio & Quality fits on two screens, and each choice opens a small sheet. Search now finds individual settings, like "equalizer", "dark mode" or "lastfm". - Play your own copies first. If you keep lossless files in Dropbox, OneDrive or Google Drive, Stash can play those before asking Qobuz or Tidal, which saves your daily lossless allowance. Turn it on in Settings → Audio & Quality → Play my cloud copies first. - YouTube Music Brand Accounts. If your music lives on a Brand Account, pick it in Settings → Accounts & Sync → YouTube Music → Profile, and Stash syncs that library. Stash asks right after you connect if your account has more than one. Fresh mixes on Home. Made for you and Mood & decades now reshuffle every day (or every 3 days, weekly, or never), and you can favorite a mix to keep it at the front. Long-press a mix to favorite it; the schedule is in Settings → Appearance → Home layout. - A new artist page. The artist's photo now fills the top of the page, with play, radio and their links right on it. - Community: Play all. Play or shuffle a whole Community playlist, a song (it keeps going as a radio), or a taste of the top 10 posts. Post pages have big artwork now. - Shared links look the part. Opening a Stash song or playlist link shows its artwork instead of a blank page.
  • ✨ UX polish - A new donate sheet with everyone you can support, including UPI for supporters in India. - The supporter ticker sits above the logo and moves a little faster. - Long titles on Now Playing pause a little longer before scrolling. - Home shows Top albums as a row of covers. - Tapping a song in recent searches plays it right away. - The Library filter chips are a bit bigger. - The Qobuz playlists button now says Search. - The Cast speaker list scrolls, so you can reach every speaker on a busy network. Thanks Evo for the report. - Fetch lyrics in Settings → Library & Storage → Library Health now tries a couple more lyrics sources for songs that still have none, and word-synced lyrics explain more clearly when a lookup didn't work. Thanks Evo. - Removed the "auto-like on Spotify after a few days" option. Liking a song plus the mirror switch does the same job.
  • 🐛 Fixes - Turning on Last.fm loves no longer shows a warning meant for YouTube Music. - The Settings home screen counts your cloud storage, Discord and ListenBrainz accounts as connected.
