🔐 FoxHole VPN — Multi-Protocol Android VPN Client

FoxHole VPN is an open-source Android VPN client powered by the Rust-based FoxHole Core. It provides a straightforward way to import VPN profiles, connect to personal or provider-operated servers, manage subscriptions, and control compatible OpenWrt routers. Its clean interface focuses on everyday VPN connections without unnecessary advertising or analytics.

🌐 Supported VPN Protocols

FoxHole VPN supports a broad selection of modern protocols:

- Proxy protocols: VLESS, VMess, Trojan, Shadowsocks, and Outline. - High-performance protocols: Hysteria2, TUIC, and AnyTLS. - VPN protocols: WireGuard and experimental AmneziaWG. - Additional transport: NaiveProxy.

Available connection methods depend on the imported profile and server configuration.

📥 Profile and Subscription Management

Import and organize your VPN configurations using several convenient methods.

- Import profiles from files, clipboard, or QR codes. - Support for VLESS, VMess, WireGuard, and other compatible profile formats. - Import v2rayTun links and subscriptions. - Support compatible Clash/mihomo YAML, SIP008 JSON, and dynamic Outline keys. - Share saved profiles and refresh subscriptions that retain their original source. - Select supported protocols within imported profiles.

External Clash proxy providers and some client-specific routing rules are not transferred.

⚡ Connection Controls

- Connect and disconnect through Android's native VPN service. - Use home-screen widgets for connection status and quick start/stop controls. - Monitor and refresh saved subscription profiles. - Configure background subscription and TLS fingerprint data checks. - Customize the application theme and language.

🛜 OpenWrt Router Management

FoxHole VPN includes a public-beta feature for managing compatible OpenWrt routers.

- Discover and pair routers on the local network. - Manage router VPN profiles and device routing. - Install and manage supported protocol packages. - Use SSH-based router inspection and authentication. - Configure supported router updates and management preferences.

Router management is still in public beta. Compatibility depends on the router architecture, OpenWrt version, available storage, and required packages. Management while a VPN connection is active is not currently supported.

🔒 Privacy and Security

The application includes no advertising or analytics SDKs. VPN profiles and settings are encrypted locally using Android Keystore-backed protection. Connection checks and exit-IP lookups use external services, which receive the requests and their source IP addresses.

📱 System Requirements

Android 8.0 or later. Release builds may provide ARM64, ARM32, x86, and x86_64 APK variants; check the available release assets for your device.

FoxHole VPN is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later (GPL-3.0-or-later). You may use, modify, and redistribute the application under its terms, including the applicable source-code, copyright-notice, and redistribution obligations for distributed modified versions.

⚠️ Important Disclaimer

FoxHole VPN is a client application, not a VPN provider. You must supply compatible server profiles or subscriptions. Router management is an additional beta feature and does not guarantee compatibility with every OpenWrt device.
