Process observatory that shows real CPU, memory, battery and process data without fabricating numbers Android blocks. About this app

A process observatory for Android that refuses to make things up.

Watch what your phone is actually doing — processes, threads, CPU, memory, wake locks, network, battery — and record an investigation you can scrub back through afterwards.

Since Android 7 an app can no longer read /proc for processes it does not own, and every release since has closed another door. Most system monitors respond by showing you a plausible number anyway. ProcessLens wraps every reading in a type with exactly three cases — a value, a restriction, or a failure — and no default. Where the platform will not answer, the screen names the restriction and the access level that would lift it. A dash is never a zero.

v1.0Aug 19, 2026
  • Live dashboard: CPU (overall and per core), memory, storage, battery, thermal zones, load average, at 1 / 2 / 5 / 10 second or manual refresh. Processes: full list with sorting and filtering, per-process detail with state, UID, start time, CPU time, threads, and the parent/child tree. Applications: installed packages, their components, requested permissions and real grant state, and which of their services are running now. Investigations: start a recording, use the phone normally, stop. You get a timeline of colour-dotted events — resource spikes against your own thresholds, wake locks, processes appearing and vanishing — plus side-by-side comparison and export to JSON, CSV or text. Capabilities: all 37 metrics ProcessLens knows how to read, each marked available or not on your device, detected at runtime rather than assumed from a version number. Optional Shizuku and root paths for ADB-level and unrestricted observation. No arbitrary shell, no kill-everything action. Privacy android.permission.INTERNET is not in the manifest, so the process cannot open a socket. No account, no backend, no analytics, no telemetry. Data stays in a local database unless you export a file yourself.
  • Install Download ProcessLens.apk below and open it. Android will ask you to allow installing from your browser or file manager, because this is a sideloaded build rather than a Play Store one.
  • Requires Android 8.0 (API 26) or newer. Targets API 34.
