Description
Element is a matrix client for Android provided by Element. It is a completely redesigned Riot-Android with a new user interface. To make early development as fast as possible, Element and the new SDK currently use the same git repository. Whenever Element is released, the SDK module is copied to a special repository: https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-android-sdk2. This way, third-party applications can add the usual gradle dependencies to use it. More details on how to do this here: https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-android-sdk2. Communicate with the community in the dedicated Matrix room. Element is both a secure messenger and a collaboration app that is ideal for group chats when working remotely. This chat app uses end-to-end encryption to enable powerful video conferencing, file sharing, and voice calls. ● Element features include ○ • Advanced online communication tools • Fully encrypted messaging for secure corporate communications, even for remote workers • Decentralized chat based on the open source Matrix platform • Secure file sharing with encrypted data for project management • Video chats with VoIP and screen sharing • Easy integration with your favorite web collaboration tools, project management tools, VoIP services and other team messaging applications. • You can log in with github, gitlab, discord, telegram and many other messengers/resources. • Support for a huge number of groups, where every privacy lover will find something of their own. • Decentralized and private spaces. • Full end-to-end encryption, along with p2p encrypted messaging. • And many others... Element is completely different from other messaging and collaboration apps. It runs on Matrix, an open network for secure messaging and decentralized communication. It allows you to self-host your data and messages, giving users maximum control over them. ♤ Privacy and encrypted messaging. ♤ Element protects you from unwanted ads, data collection and "gardens". It also protects all your data, video and voice communications one-on-one with end-to-end encryption and device cross-checking. Element gives you control over your privacy, allowing you to communicate securely with anyone on the Matrix network or with other collaboration tools through integration with apps like Slack. Element can be self-hosted. For more control over sensitive data and conversations, Element can be self-hosted or you can choose any host based on Matrix, the standard for decentralized, open-source communication. Element provides privacy, security compliance, and integration flexibility. ◇ Ownership of your data. ◇ You decide where your data and communications are stored. No risk of data mining or third-party access. Element gives you control in a variety of ways: 1. Get a free account at matrix.org, a public server hosted by Matrix developers, or choose from thousands of public servers hosted by volunteers. 2. Host your own account by running the server on your own IT infrastructure. 3. Register an account with a custom server simply by signing up for Element Matrix Services' hosting platform. Open messaging and collaboration. You can communicate with anyone on the Matrix network, whether they're using Element, another Matrix app, or even if they're using another messaging app. □ Super-secure ■ True end-to-end encryption (only participants in the conversation can decrypt messages) and cross-signature device verification. Full communication and integration. Messaging, voice and video calls, file sharing, screen sharing and a range of integrations, bots and widgets.
