An implementation of OpenCC for Android, enabling conversion between different variants of Chinese with automatic detection and conversion. Features - Automatically detects Traditional or Simplified Chinese and converts it (Easy Mode). - 10 conversion modes (see below for details). - Convert text directly by selecting it in a text field, choosing the option from the menu, and having it replaced automatically with the converted text. It is based on the contributors' research and aims to avoid situations where one character in a variant corresponds to multiple characters in another by splitting them as much as possible. For example, the character 「臺」 is used for 「臺灣」, while 「台」 is used for 「天台」 in the Taiwan standard. However, in the Hong Kong standard, 「台」 is used for both. In this case, the OpenCC standard adopts the Taiwanese convention when translating from Simplified Chinese, where 「台」 is always used for both.
