Shizako

Your phone has a whole host of "system-limited" features—silent installation, app freezing, permission adjustments, and access to system settings—access that normally only the system itself can access. Rooting your phone would certainly give you access to these features, but at a significant cost.

I took a different approach: I first run a privileged little process for you (by wireless debugging, USB, or root access), and then lend that privilege to apps you trust . It's not like opening the door to thieves—each app needs your approval before granting access, and you can revoke it at any time.

Shizako is an Apache-2.0 licensed fork of Shizuku with an original catgirl mascot. It runs a privileged service via ADB / wireless debugging / root and lends elevated APIs to apps you trust — including apps built with the official dev.rikka.shizuku:api, which connect without any code change
