🛡️ FoxHole Guard — Network Security & Privacy Suite

FoxHole Guard is an Android network protection app built around FoxHole Core, its native Rust engine. It combines VPN connectivity, Tor and I2P access, a local firewall, DNS filtering, traffic monitoring, and optional security analysis in one place.

🌐 VPN, Tor & I2P

Connect through a range of modern protocols:

- VLESS, VMess, Trojan, Shadowsocks, Hysteria2, TUIC, AnyTLS, and Naive. - WireGuard and AmneziaWG. - SOCKS5 and HTTP CONNECT proxy support.

Use Tor through Arti with bridge support, selected-app routing, and scheduled circuit rotation. I2P access is provided through a separate "i2pd" process and a local SOCKS5 connection.

🧱 Firewall & Traffic Control

Manage how apps access the network with:

- Per-app internet blocking and selected-app routing. - Kill switch and quarantine for newly installed apps. - Domain, suffix, and CIDR-based website rules. - VPN, Tor, direct, and blocked traffic routes.

🧭 DNS Filtering

The built-in DNS interceptor supports UDP, TCP, DNS-over-TLS (DoT), and DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH), along with caching, stale cache, fake-IP, and route-aware DNS.

Local filtering rules can help block advertising, trackers, telemetry, and potentially malicious domains. Verified rule sets are checked before use.

🛡️ FoxHole Sentinel

An optional, on-device security monitoring module, disabled by default. Current capabilities include checking known threat indicators (IOCs), correlating network indicators with the responsible app, and auditing app installation, updates, and removal.

Sentinel is not an antivirus. Advanced APK/DEX static analysis, YARA-X scanning, and behavioral detection are planned, not implemented in the current version.

- Live network connection map and per-app statistics. - Local encrypted logs with hash-chain integrity checks. - Authenticated SOCKS5 and HTTP CONNECT proxy server for the local network. - HTML5 web apps with isolated storage where supported and notification support. - Separate background services for web-app notifications and security-event monitoring.

🔒 Privacy

FoxHole Guard contains no ads, usage analytics, or telemetry. App lists, routing rules, statistics, logs, and local analysis results remain on your device unless you explicitly export them. Some enabled features naturally make network requests to VPN servers, DNS providers, web apps, or update services.

📱 Requirements & Availability

- Android 8.0 or newer. - No root access required. - Public beta; the currently distributed APK targets "arm64-v8a".

Some features are experimental or depend on Android version, network conditions, and external services.
