🌐 MasterDnsVPN Android GG — DNS Tunnel & Multi-Profile VPN Client

MasterDnsVPN Android GG is an Android client for the MasterDnsVPN networking system, built around a DNS-over-UDP tunneling engine implemented in Go. It provides a configurable interface for connecting to MasterDnsVPN servers, managing multiple profiles, and routing device traffic through either a local SOCKS5 proxy or Android's system-wide VPN interface.

Unlike a standalone VPN service, this application requires a properly configured and running MasterDnsVPN server. Users can create their own profiles and configure the connection parameters directly from the application.

🔧 Flexible Profile Management

Each profile can connect to a different MasterDnsVPN server and exposes a wide range of client-side settings, including:

• Server address and port • Encryption settings • Compression • DNS and resolver configuration • SOCKS5 settings • TUN mode • MTU • Balancer strategy • Other available tunnel parameters

A built-in Resolver Editor also allows DNS resolvers to be added or removed for individual profiles.

⚡ SOCKS5 & TUN Modes

MasterDnsVPN Android GG supports two main connection modes:

• SOCKS5 Proxy — provides a local proxy endpoint for compatible applications. • TUN / VPN Mode — uses Android VpnService to capture device traffic and forward it through the MasterDnsVPN engine.

TUN mode also includes application filtering with three options: route all applications, include selected applications, or exclude selected applications.

🔀 Meta Profile & Load Balancing

The Meta Profile feature allows multiple MasterDnsVPN profiles to be grouped under a single connection control.

Traffic can be distributed using several strategies:

• RoundRobin — rotates between profiles in order • Random — selects profiles randomly • LeastConn — selects a profile based on active connections • LowestLatency — selects the lowest-latency available profile

Meta profiles can operate with both SOCKS5 and TUN modes, making it possible to manage multiple server connections from one configuration.

📡 Hotspot Sharing

The application can share the VPN connection through a Wi-Fi hotspot. A built-in TCP relay exposes the required address and port so other devices connected to the hotspot can be configured to use the shared connection.

📊 Real-Time Monitoring

MasterDnsVPN Android GG includes detailed monitoring tools for active profiles:

• Resolver health • Connection/session status • Listen address • CPU usage • RAM usage • Upload and download speed • Persistent per-profile traffic statistics • Real-time logs

Bandwidth and system statistics are updated continuously, providing a convenient overview of the active tunnel.

🧩 Go-Powered Networking Engine

The Android interface is built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, while the networking functionality is provided through the MasterDnsVPN Go engine integrated into the Android application using a GoMobile bridge.

For TUN connections, the application uses a gVisor-based tun2socks layer to forward device traffic into the SOCKS5-based tunnel.

📱 Android Compatibility

The project targets Android API 26 and newer. Pre-built releases are available for several architectures, including ARM64, armeabi-v7a, x86_64 and Universal packages, depending on the release.

MasterDnsVPN Android GG is a client application, not a standalone VPN provider. A working MasterDnsVPN server must be installed and configured before the application can establish a connection. Server availability, configuration quality, and network conditions can affect connectivity and performance.
