Ghost Files (TwinPane) is a dual-pane file manager for Android inspired by MT Manager and MiXplorer. Designed with stability and reliability in mind, it features a robust background transfer queue to prevent freezing during network transfers.

- New / Repair
- Thumbnails:Android/data In directories accessed via Shizuku / Root / SAF, images and videos now also display thumbnails (decoded by abstract streaming through the file system to a temporary cache; videos are framed using MediaMetadataRetriever). Images (≤12MB) on the web server also have thumbnails, and web videos do not take frames to avoid excessive traffic. Thumbnails are cached to memory and disk (cache/thumbs, upper limit 64MB) according to "path + modification time + size", with a maximum of 3 concurrent reads.
- Thumbnails have been cropped to the center (previously non-square images would be stretched), fixing the issue where MediaMetadataRetriever was not released when video frame fetching failed; the native APK displays the app icon.
- Language: The "Settings → Language" option in the sidebar follows the system / Simplified Chinese / English. It takes effect immediately and you remember to select it. File system error messages (native/Root/Shizuku/SAF), transmission task prompts, LAN scanning, and native service instructions are also bilingual.
- In English mode, tooltips such as SMB / FTP / SFTP / WebDAV client error reporting, compression and decompression, volume splitting, batch renaming, file comparison, encryption, and application data backup are all bilingual.
- Add SMB to the "Local Services" text in the sidebar.
- Performance / Stability
- Root / Shizuku uses a resident shell session to execute short commands such as column directories and stats (serialization one by one, automatic kill and rebuild after timeout, and automatic fallback to a single process after consecutive failures), which significantly reduces su round trips.

- The filter that retains the selected items when refreshing the directory has been changed from O(n²) to O(n)
- Large directory chunk loading no longer copies the entire table for each chunk.
