About this app

An open-source HeyMelody alternative for Android. Control OnePlus, OPPO, and realme earbuds over Bluetooth, no root required: battery, noise cancellation (ANC), equaliser, hearing profile, gestures, wear detection, fit test, find my earbuds, dual connection, low latency mode, and home screen widgets.

QuickBuds does everything the vendor app does for your earbuds, in a fast, clean app with a real home-screen widget.

Features

Earbud control

- Reads the earbud model and matches it against HeyMelody's own list of OnePlus, OPPO, and realme models, showing only what that model supports. The model can also be picked manually. - Live battery and wear status for each bud and the case. - Noise control: Off, Noise cancelling (Low, Medium, High, Smart), Adaptive, and Transparency. Changes made on the earbuds show up instantly. - Equaliser: built-in presets, up to 3 custom 6-band presets drawn on a curve, and bass boost. Saved on the earbuds. - High-quality audio (LHDC), 3D audio, and Low latency mode.

Hearing and fit

- Hearing profile: a hearing test with an ear scan and 6 tones per ear, tuning the sound to your ears. Profiles are kept on the phone, applied with one tap, and shown as a graph per ear. Profiles made in HeyMelody also appear. - Earbud fit test: checks that the ear tips seal well.

Gestures and controls

- Gestures per bud: taps, slide, and hold, plus on-call gestures. - Wear detection, dual connection, find my earbuds, prompt volume, and firmware version. - Additional model-specific features such as 3D audio with head tracking, game sound effects, vocal enhancement, smart or adaptive volume, and power saving, shown only where the earbuds support them.

Widgets and appearance

- Home-screen widgets in three sizes (2×2, 3×3, 4×2). Each has a battery page and a noise control and low latency page. - Two styles: Classic, or a Nothing-style dot-matrix look for the app and the widgets. - Themes: OLED Black, Classic Dark and White, or match the system. Custom accent colour and up to 3 custom colour presets. Reorder or hide home screen rows. - 27 languages, switchable inside the app. - Update check from inside the app, using GitHub releases.

Setup

1. Pair your earbuds in Android's Bluetooth settings first. QuickBuds connects to paired earbuds; it does not pair them. 2. Download the APK and install it. 3. Allow the Bluetooth permission when asked.

Supported earbuds

QuickBuds works on any Android 8 or newer phone (Samsung, Google Pixel, Xiaomi, Nothing, Motorola, OnePlus), not only on OnePlus or OPPO phones. It knows every model in HeyMelody's own list, 127 earbuds in all, and shows only the features each one has.

- OnePlus Buds 4: fully working, confirmed. Every feature tested on a Nothing Phone (3a) with Android 16. - Every other model: detected, with features built from HeyMelody's own data, but not confirmed yet. Some may not work.

If your model is not fully working, reports help fix it. Open an issue with your model, what works and what does not, and a log from Dev tools > Export.

Requirements

- Android 8.0 (API 26) or newer - OnePlus, OPPO, realme, or DIZO earbuds paired in Android's Bluetooth settings

What's new

v3.8.1Sep 30, 2026

Dot matrix style: the dotted style is now called Dot matrix, found in Settings › Theme & colors › Style. - Bundled Doto font: Dot matrix now uses the bundled Doto font on every phone, in the app and on the widgets. - Filled earbud icon on the Earbud settings row and the other earbud buttons. - New ANC icon on the ANC segment of the noise control, the same one the widgets use. - Widget battery bar: in Dot matrix, the case level digits are drawn in Doto's own dot digits, in the text colour. - Dot matrix sliders: every dot of a slider or of the EQ curve is one shade, and every slider and the EQ curve use the same round knob.
