PocketShell

PocketShell turns your Android phone into a voice-first cockpit for the tmux sessions and AI coding agents running on your dev box.

It is built around persistent tmux sessions, touch-friendly per-pane rendering, voice/prompt composition, and AI-agent awareness — instead of treating the phone as a small desktop terminal.

Core Features

- Multi-host SSH: Quick host import via QR-code, key generation/import, and biometric unlock. - Host-first navigation: Workspace tree rooted at configured project roots, with active tmux sessions grouped by project. - Persistent tmux sessions: Via tmux -CC control mode, with per-pane rendering (swipe between panes/windows). - Voice prompt composer: Whisper-based dictation, dedicated keyboard for Esc/Tab/Ctrl/Alt/arrows, snippet library, and command chips. - Agent-aware conversation view: Optimized view for Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode, with automated real-time process matching. - Usage dashboard: Monitor sessions and remote processes without storing provider credentials on the phone. - Share-target dispatch: Paste text or files from any app directly into the active remote session. - Port-forwarding: On-demand management, with a scoped foreground service only when tunnels are active.

Setup Instructions

1. Android app: Install the APK and configure your SSH host on the first run (QR-code import is the recommended method). 2. Server-side helper: To enable all features, install the 'pocketshell' Python utility on your remote development box. PocketShell automatically probes for the correct version and offers an install/upgrade path via 'uv' or 'pipx'.
