Cartographic tracking application for Android

What is Trailog? Trailog keeps your tracks and points of interest organised locally on your phone, and shows them on a map with a synchronised elevation profile, without depending on any online service.

Typical uses:

Hiking, cycling, mountain biking: follow a route prepared in advance, offline in the field. Archiving personal tracks, sorted into folders. Exploring specialised basemaps (national mapping agencies, hillshade, cycle routes...).

Main features Native map (MapLibre) with many configurable basemaps (OpenStreetMap, national mapping agencies, hillshade, cycle routes, composite basemaps pairing a base with an overlay). Track import in GPX, GeoJSON and KML/KMZ, with statistics computed on the fly (distance, ascent and descent, gradient, moving time). Through the Import button, or straight from another app: Trailog shows up in the phone's "Open with" and "Share to" for a file received by email, downloaded, or sitting in a file manager. Native elevation profile, synchronised with a cursor on the map, with zoom on a section of the route and an adjustable vertical scale. Folder organisation: create, rename, move and delete folders and routes, and colour every track in a folder in one go. Points of interest: markers with info bubbles you can edit (title, text, links, photos), including photos carried by GPX waypoints on your phone. Points of interest along the way (enable in settings): lodging, food, leisure and services, from DATAtourisme in France and OpenStreetMap everywhere - outside France included. Filterable by category, with a photo and a link to the venue's website, and three gestures to make it a start, an end or a waypoint. OpenStreetMap brings what the tourism database ignores in France too: neighbourhood restaurants and bars, drinking water, public toilets, picnic areas, charging points and bicycle repairers. A setting turns that complement off if you would rather have an immediate map than a complete one. What has been seen once stays available offline, and Settings / Routes clears that cache in one tap if an entry looks wrong. An eye puts the layer aside for a moment without losing your selection, and a proximity setting keeps only the places that border a displayed track - from 500 m to 20 km, or no limit at all when you are exploring an area with no track open. Offline maps: download an area to take it along with no network, import your own MBTiles basemaps, and tiles already viewed stay in cache. A checkbox also takes the area's points of interest along: they stay available where there is no signal.
