What's new
- Editing
- B turns on the razor: click a clip to cut it on the frame under the pointer. Ctrl+B still splits every clip under the playhead. - Every sound on the lanes has a volume line at the clip's level. Drag it to set the volume. - A scrollbar under the lanes shows which part of the cut is in view and drags the view along it. - Select two clips that meet and click a transition to put it on the cut between them. - Added a Stickers page with a Shapes shelf: square, circle, triangle, parallelogram, trapezoid, line and arrow. - Deleting a track now asks first, and says how many clips go with it. - Dragging a keyed position or scale on the monitor now keeps the key instead of springing back.
- Text
- Select several titles and the Text tab styles them all at once, in one undo step. - "Use for new titles" keeps a title's look for every new title and generated caption. - A title with no box wraps at the frame's edge.
- Monitor and playback
- Save Video Frame As, from a right-click on the picture, as a PNG placed in the bin. - On MPEG-TS and MTS files, the preview's sound no longer runs ahead of the picture.
- Effects
- A dissolve into a clip with nothing before its in-point now holds its first frame instead of running off into black. - Fixed effects losing transparency and glow, and a hue turn of nothing changing nothing.
- Export
- The resolution and frame rate are now the timeline's own. - An export whose GPU device dies goes on, on a fresh device or the software adapter. - NVENC, Quick Sync and AMF now encode HEVC and AV1 ahead of the software encoders.
- Phone
- A sheet closes on a swipe down. - The Android app stays upright.
- Settings and logs
- Added a Log level row on Settings' first page. - Lime is now the default accent.
