About this app
APKUpdater is an open source tool that simplifies the process of finding updates for your installed apps. It provides similar functionality to an app store, but instead of depending on a single source, it aggregates the results from APKMirror, Aptoide, F-Droid, IzzyOnDroid, APKPure, GitLab and GitHub.
The 3.x branch is a full rewrite using modern technologies like Jetpack Compose, Flow and WorkManager.

What's new
- APKPure
- Works on devices with long version codes. APKPure's server cannot take a version code above 2 147 483 647 (Android allows longer ones since 9), and a single such app made it refuse the whole check. On a car head unit with system apps shown, APKPure failed every time with "EOFException". Those apps are now left out of the APKPure request; the journal names them.
- Refusals now arrive as what they are (HTTP 555 with APKPure's reason) instead of "EOFException", and only the "too many requests" one is retried.
- F-Droid
- Much faster checks. The F-Droid index is 16.5 MB and used to be downloaded again on every check — it could take a minute when F-Droid's server was slow, and failed with "timeout" after 60 s. The index is now kept in the cache and every check only asks whether it changed: an unchanged index is read from disk in under a second. The full download happens about once a day, when F-Droid publishes a new index. Same for IzzyOnDroid.
- Stopping a check no longer shows F-Droid as failed.
- GitHub
- No more bogus "update" for Apktool M. An old release tagged with a build number (v2026072802) was read as version 2 026 072 802 and offered as an update to 2.4.0-261014. A bare build number no longer beats a normal version.
- Logs
- Save logs to a file and Send logs next to Copy App Logs: the whole log as a text file, to a place you pick or straight to Telegram, Drive or mail. Nothing is cut, unlike the clipboard.
- Smaller
- RuStore: a refused session handshake at the first check is retried.
- The download notification no longer updates faster than Android allows.
