QuickTile Settings

Quick-Tile Settings is an Android application that provides customizable Quick Settings tiles for managing Private DNS and USB Debugging. It allows users to quickly toggle these settings and configure the behavior of each tile, including an auto-revert feature.

A significant portion of the Private DNS tile functionality and concept is inspired by Joshua Wolfsohn's Private DNS Quick Tile app. This project aims to expand on that idea by adding more features, a USB Debugging tile, and a modern Jetpack Compose UI.

Features

- Private DNS Quick Tile: - Cycle through Off, Auto, and user-selected Private DNS hostnames. - Manage a list of DNS hostnames: - Includes predefined options: Cloudflare (Performance & Privacy), AdGuard DNS (Ad & Tracker Blocking), Quad9 (Security Focus). - Add, edit, and delete custom DNS hostname entries. - Select which hostnames (along with Off/Auto) are included in the tile's cycle. - View information about the benefits of each predefined DNS provider directly in the app. - Optional: Automatically revert to the previous DNS state after a configurable delay. - Smart DNS Automation: - Optionally auto-disable Private DNS when a VPN connection is active. - Optionally auto-switch Private DNS based on network type (WiFi vs mobile data). - Choose between tile-only detection or continuous background detection. - USB Debugging Quick Tile: - Toggle USB Debugging On or Off. - Configure whether to cycle between On/Off or only include specific states. - Optional: Automatically revert to the previous USB Debugging state after a configurable delay. - User-Friendly Configuration: - In-app settings screen to customize tile behavior and auto-revert options. - Tabbed interface for easy navigation between Private DNS and USB Debugging settings. - Shortcut Actions (App Shortcuts): - Choose which actions are exposed as Android app shortcuts. - Use these actions from launchers and automation tools (e.g., Samsung Routines, Tasker). - Disabled actions are blocked by default, with an optional setting to keep already pinned shortcuts working. - Multiple Permission Granting Options: - Clear instructions and an in-app dialog for granting the required WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission via ADB (Android Debug Bridge), Shizuku, or Root. - Convenient "Copy Command" buttons for ADB commands. - Modern UI: Built with Jetpack Compose, supporting dynamic color (Material You) on Android 12+. - Localization: Available in English, German, Czech, Turkish, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese.

Requirements

- Android 9 (Pie, API 29) or higher. - The WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS permission. - On Android 13+, enabling background monitoring modes may require POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission for the persistent service notification.
