Setup

1. Install the APK 2. Go to Settings → System → Languages & input → On-screen keyboard 3. Enable "Voice Keyboard" 4. Open the app and enter a Whisper API key. The default endpoint is Groq — get a free key at console.groq.com/keys. You can also point the app at OpenAI's Whisper endpoint or any other OpenAI-compatible provider in the same screen. 5. (Optional) Configure post-processing with your OpenAI or Claude API key

Privacy

No analytics, no telemetry, no advertising. Audio is sent only to the transcription provider you configure, using your own API key.

Keyboards such as HeliBoard now show a mic key that opens Voice Keyboard; previously it was invisible on Android 10 and newer. - New setting "Return to previous keyboard": when another keyboard's mic key opens Voice Keyboard, that keyboard returns as soon as the text is typed, and the top-corner key also takes you back. Off by default. - Switching keyboards mid-recording no longer discards the recording; its text goes to the clipboard. - The navigation bar's hide button now closes the keyboard (Android 13+, gesture navigation). - A transcription hitting the provider's rate limit now waits and resends by itself instead of asking you to resend. - Post-processing now works with Claude models that do not accept a temperature setting. - Text an app refuses to accept is copied to the clipboard instead of being lost. - The update window shows each release's notes once, without repeating older ones.
Note: If HeliBoard shows no mic key right after updating, restart it (or the phone).
