🌐 OpenRung — Community-Powered VPN Network

OpenRung is a cross-platform VPN client built for the OpenRung relay network, combining community-operated relays with a modern native VPN architecture. It is designed to help users reach blocked websites and apps through volunteer-run and foundation-operated relay infrastructure.

⚡ One-Tap Connection Connect or disconnect directly from the main screen. OpenRung automatically checks relay reachability, tests internet access, monitors connection health, and handles connection failures.

🔐 Native VPN Architecture The interface uses React Native and TypeScript, while networking relies on native VPN components. Android uses VpnService with sing-box/libbox and TUN/DNS support; iOS uses NEPacketTunnelProvider. Sensitive transport operations stay outside the JavaScript bridge.

🛡️ VLESS + REALITY + Vision Connections use VLESS with REALITY and Vision. Relay selection checks supported configurations, reachability, and expiry before establishing a session.

🌍 Community Relay Infrastructure OpenRung can use volunteer-operated relays, including direct NAT-punching paths where supported. If direct access is unavailable, signed WSS/CDN fallback infrastructure can be used. Sensitive transport handling remains in the native layer.

🎯 Smart Split Tunneling Use built-in routing presets for LAN and regional bypass where supported. Android can also exclude individual apps from the tunnel. Routing changes apply with a quick reconnect; unavailable rule sets fall back to full tunneling.

📊 Connection & Speed Testing Includes relay reachability checks, speed testing, internet probes, and ongoing connection health monitoring.

🔒 Security-Focused Design The app verifies signed relay information and relay manifests before use. ECH may be attempted when available, with ordinary TLS fallback when it is not. OpenRung does not claim ECH is always available or that network metadata is always hidden.

📱 Modern Interface A distinctive green-on-black, monospace interface provides a clear dashboard, relay map, live status, and connection controls.

🌐 Multilingual Includes 9 interface languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Persian, Russian, Arabic, Turkish, Vietnamese & Burmese.

📦 Offline APK Sharing Android users can share the APK through the system share sheet or Quick Share without requiring network or storage permissions for this feature.
