Stash mirrors your Spotify and YouTube Music libraries to your Android phone. You connect each service, pick the playlists and mixes you want, and Stash either downloads them as real FLAC files for offline playback or surfaces them as a streaming index so you can stream tracks without filling up your storage. Same library, two modes, one tap to switch.

There's no Stash account. No subscription. No ads. No analytics. Your credentials live on your phone, encrypted, and the only network traffic Stash makes is to Spotify and YouTube themselves.

Online vs Offline Stash has two modes. They decide what a sync actually does.

Offline mode Sync downloads each track as a FLAC file (or the closest lossless source available) and stores it on your phone. Once a track is on disk you can play it forever with no connection. It costs storage but no recurring data.

One switch: Download The two Online/Offline controls on the Sync tab are gone. There is one switch now, Download, and it does one thing: decide whether a sync saves your switched-on playlists and mixes to the phone.
Playing music no longer depends on it. Tap anything — a playlist, a mix, a search result, a radio — and it plays: from the phone if it's downloaded, streamed if it isn't. The old "Offline mode" that refused to play songs you hadn't downloaded, greyed out half a playlist, or told you to "turn on Online mode" is gone. The only things that can stop a stream now are having no connection, or your own "stream on cellular" setting.
Download on — sync saves switched-on playlists and mixes to the phone. Everything else still streams. Download off — sync just keeps your library up to date; nothing is written to the phone. Everything streams. Artist photos in your Library The Artists tab and artist pages now show real artist photos instead of album art or a coloured initial. They fill in on their own over Wi-Fi in the background — a big library takes a few syncs to finish, so don't be surprised if the first look is half-done. Thanks to yuriikot2010 for building this (#439).
What else changed The same switch is still within reach where you already were: the pill at the top of Home, on artist and album pages, and in Settings › Playback all flip the same thing, and now say "Stream only" / "Download". Playlists that only showed a few songs with Download on now show all of them, in every mode. (Follow-on from the v0.9.106 sync fix.) Resuming from a car or Bluetooth headset now picks up a streamed song in either mode. The sync history says "Stream only" / "Download" instead of "Online" / "Offline". Lossless relay: raised the per-account hourly limit so FLAC stops going dark for everyone at peak hours.
