Two engines
- Media3 / ExoPlayer uses the device's own hardware decoders and is best for smoothness, battery, TV boxes, adaptive streams, and display frame-rate matching. - mpv carries its own 501 decoders for anything the device cannot handle, including 10-bit H.264, interlaced video, VC-1, ProRes, styled ASS subtitles, DTS, and TrueHD. - Auto (recommended) starts on Media3 and switches to mpv only when Media3 cannot play the video, keeping your position. Manual selection is also available, and the player offers the other engine instead of failing.

Skipping intros and credits
- Chapters first, then markers from IntroDB, TheIntroDB, SkipDB, and AniSkip. - A Skip button appears only while a marker is live, with three seconds to undo.
Interface
- Ten scaling modes with their own icons, plus free zoom. - Eleven accent colours, orange by default. - A second line under the title showing what is actually playing, including the engine. - Video track picker for ladders and multi-track files. - Export and import of settings, keys, history, and per-file memory. - Set up from your phone: settings offers a PIN-gated page on the local network.
