Scrambled Exif

Scramble Exif (pronounced eggsif) helps you delete metadata from pictures before sharing them.

If you don't want large Internet companies (or anyone) to know where your photos were taken, don't forget to delete their metadata before sharing them.

To remove metadata from the image, simply share it as usual and select Scramble Exif. After a moment, the sharing dialog box will appear again. Now just share the apps you originally wanted to share.

Et voilà!

★ READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE reads images shared with it by other applications.

Misc Stuff and Facts

★ Basically, Exif is used by jpeg, which is the format in which Android cameras save pictures. If you want to know more about Exif, check out Wikipedia.

★ Scramble Exif can also rename files (this can be disabled).

★ Please don't rely too much on deleted data. Scrabbled Exif does a good job, but it may fail. Be sure to check carefully before sharing.

★ It doesn't really disrupt Exif data, it deletes it. So the name may be stupid. But I like it. This icon does not represent scrambled eggs. So this icon may be stupid. But I like it. And I am a huge fan of eggs. So not only does this app have a stupid name and an equally stupid icon, it is also my (not stupid) tribute to eggs. Especially burrito. Because I love them.
