A powerful parametric equaliser for Android with minimal permissions.

Built on the DynamicsProcessing and Visualizer APIs — the same foundation used by Poweramp EQ and Wavelet — with a focus on extracting the maximum potential from these frameworks.

Features

Parametric EQ

- Full parametric equaliser with biquad math - Audio-visual feedback via the Visualizer API for real-time reference - Independent control of attack/release values via sliders or by dragging along the graph - Compressor visual feedback with DAW-style implementation

Limiting and multiband compression

- Multiband compression with crossover math based on Linkwitz–Riley - Hard/soft knee transfer function for compressor design - LUFS measurements based on ITU-R BS.1770 - Visual feedback for input curves, gain reduction traces, and limiter waveform metering - Audio-visual feedback loop for full control

Presets and EQ generation

- AutoEQ algorithm integration for custom EQ generation - Needs a "measurement" and "target" curve (both available from squig.link and other online resources) - APO export format for compatibility with EqualizerAPO on desktop - Homogeneous preset sharing between popular equalisation applications

Requirements

- Android 8.0 (API 26) or newer - Only one app can control audio session 0 at a time

Note

The app uses session 0 for all applications. As long as another EQ app is using session 0, the EQ from this app will not work. An auto-reclaim feature attempts to take over session 0 if another app takes it, but this may cause brief audio glitches or dropouts.

These same limitations apply to Wavelet, RootlessJamesDSP, Poweramp EQ, and most other EQ apps.
