This release introduces the experimental, plugin-powered Reels feed, local novel book import, a quotes library for novels, a configurable library update interval — and a large batch of performance, extension-management and stability work accumulated since v0.60.
✨ New Features - Reels — vertical short-video feed (experimental) — a swipeable feed player with likes, creator subscriptions and a follows feed, smart auto-advance (still images and very short clips hold on screen instead of skipping), auto-hiding chrome and a landscape fullscreen mode for wide videos. The Reels entry is hidden until a compatible feed plugin is installed. This is an experimental feature for advanced users. - Local novels: import your own books — folder and multi-file import, per-entry zip chapters and Markdown rendering. Open: Novels library → import - Quotes Library — reader highlights and quotes with custom colors and source location, a dedicated quotes screen in the Aurora Codex Sacra style, and a new Inkwell achievement with award. Open: novel reader → select text → Quote; More → Quotes Library - Custom library update interval — pick any 1–24 hour interval with a slider.
🎨 Improvements Title screens open noticeably faster, with smoother gestures, cached state and polished transitions. Cover loading across the app is faster and more reliable (HTTP cache, batched home prefetch, per-host limits, fail-fast on blocked hosts). Library updates run in parallel with paced, throttled progress. - Extension and plugin management: protobuf / new-JSON store indexes, readable repo names, a visible "app update required" state instead of silently hidden extensions, update-all across the full installed set with visible errors, and a hardened install / update / reinstall lifecycle. History and search now follow your last active section (anime / manga / novels). Aurora polish: the Ink-in-Water shader is recalibrated for OLED displays, the dark theme palette got richer, and the home header is unified.
