Koda 4.9 (versionCode 27)
Hotfix release. AutoMix in 4.8 could cut songs short and restart them instead of resuming, breaking playback mid-listen. That is fixed here, along with the menu, playlist, and Shorts work that landed alongside it.
Since 4.8, Koda has focused on making AutoMix transitions dependable, giving every player style and long-press menu a complete set of actions, and adding playlist copies, playlist hiding, and music recommendations you can turn down.
AutoMix and playback
Fixed stream retries restarting songs instead of resuming playback. • Fixed AutoMix cutting music short when silence analysis was incomplete or failed. • Improved beat and tempo matching, with gentler transitions between songs that do not match. • Numbered album sequences now play through in order, and short tracks are protected from long overlaps. • Mixing now responds safely to seeks, queue changes, and stalled incoming playback. • Fixed the player showing the previous song's total time, which also left the progress bar in the wrong place.
Player and song menus
Added an options button to every player style, with start radio, add to playlist, like, download, go to artist, go to album, and share. • Adding the playing song to a playlist now offers your YouTube playlists in every player style, not just Classic and Gesture. • Redesigned the long-press menu on songs: actions are grouped, and the menu scrolls, so no option is cut off at large display or font sizes. • Added a "Go to artist" action to the long-press menu, which was never reachable before. • Liking a song from the long-press menu no longer closes it, so you can like and queue a song in one go.
Playlists
Added "Save as editable copy" to playlists, so a YouTube playlist, album, or mix can be turned into one of your own that you can edit. • Added "Hide from Koda" to playlists, with a hidden count in the Library to bring them back. Nothing is unsubscribed or deleted. • And More...
