About this app
WebToApp turns websites, HTML projects, media libraries, and even server-side applications into installable Android APKs — entirely on the device.
Drop in a URL, pick the bits you want, and you walk away with an APK you can install, share, or sideload. Behind the scenes the app stitches together a configurable WebView, optional native runtimes (Node.js, PHP, Python, Go), and an APK builder that signs and packages everything in-process via com.android.tools.build:apksig. No remote build server is ever contacted.
Supported app types (the AppType enum): Web · HTML · Frontend (React / Vue / static builds) · WordPress · Node.js · PHP · Python · Go · Image · Video · Gallery · Multi-Web.
Highlights
- One-tap on-device APK builds — packaged, signed, and installed without leaving the phone. - Two browser engines — system WebView plus an optional GeckoView (Firefox) backend. The GeckoView engine ships arm64-v8a only and its native runtime is downloaded on first use, not bundled. - GitHub-backed Module Market — install community JS/CSS modules without shipping an app update; the catalog lives in this repository. - Bundled Chrome extension support — runs unmodified MV3 extensions inside the WebView. Ships with the BewlyCat extension as a working example. - Local server runtimes — Node.js, PHP, Python, and Go execute on-device via a local HTTP server. WordPress runs against the on-device PHP runtime. - Customisable WebView — UA spoofing, 28-vector fingerprint disguise, ad blocking, DNS-over-HTTPS, JS/CSS injection, payment scheme handlers. - App Modifier — clone an installed APK and re-brand it (icon, name, package) by patching its binary AXML manifest and re-signing. - On-device APK signing — create, import, export, and inspect keystores (MD5 / SHA-1 / SHA-256 fingerprints) right on the phone; choose V1/V2/V3 signature schemes and a custom V1 signature filename. - AI Coding — a skill-driven agent that builds web apps, extension modules, and full app types (HTML, React, Vue, Node, PHP, Python, Go, WordPress, etc.) on your phone, with inline preview and built-in image generation. - Per-app usage analytics — Stats screen with health monitoring and Vico charts. - Trilingual UI — Chinese, English, Arabic out of the box.

What's new
- Added
- Home list sort: recently updated (default), recently created, name, or a custom order. Custom order is a long-press drag and does not change the updated time. A left swipe still deletes. New and duplicated apps sort first. - Top tabs: multi-site apps can put the labels under the status bar. A sideways swipe switches sites, and the bar color follows the page. Show site icons applies here too. The editor also offers Bottom Tabs, Card Home, Side Drawer and Feed. - Config template files: export the current config or a saved template as webtoapp-config-template JSON, and import it on another device. A duplicate name gets a numeric suffix. The agent can export and import too. - Edge overscroll: an Advanced Settings switch, on by default. Turning it off stops the system WebView stretch and GeckoView's edge effect. Pull-to-refresh still works.
- Changed
- User-Agent: custom UA, desktop flavors and desktop mode are now in Advanced Settings, and export writes that choice. The HTTP User-Agent and Sec-CH-UA stay a pair. - Fullscreen chrome: bottom padding stays on the screen edge when the keyboard opens. Transparent and follow-page modes paint the navigation bar and margin bands from the page. - Agent tools: 60 with an image-capable model, including config-template export and import.
- Fixed
- GeckoView multi-site: a covered tab leaves the window, so switching back shows that tab's page. - Ad-block export: a large list no longer sits on "Repacking base template...". The step now reads "Compiling ad-block rules...". - Fixed sidebars: the export performance script no longer traps position: fixed panels such as a shop filter. Install this host and export again. - Isolation: fingerprints now identify as a phone, and client hints match. A saved desktop fingerprint is replaced on the next launch. A custom User-Agent, desktop mode and a desktop kernel flavor stay as set. Export again. - Fresh session: a cold start clears the system WebView profile before the page loads, so the second launch is empty too. Export again.

I can't say enough positive things about this app. if you've used hermit lite apps browser and appreciate what it brings to the table, just wait till you give this app a spin. put it this way, I used Hermit for >5 years... that is until installing this app, which immediately replaced it.
