Pre-existing users of the Android vanilla variant should uninstall their current Azahar app before installing this new version, as the application ID has changed. No user data will not be lost, and the same user directory just needs to be selected during setup. The new application ID for vanilla is org.azahar_emu.azahar. Third-party emulator launchers may need to account for this change. The application ID for the Google Play Store variant remains unchanged. This is to differentiate the Vanilla build from the Google Play version, preventing the Google Play Store from attempting to update it.

Azahar is an open-source 3DS emulator project based on Citra. It was created from the merging of PabloMK7's Citra fork and the Lime3DS project, both of which emerged shortly after Citra was taken down. The goal of this project is to be the de-facto platform for future development.
