About this app

Historically, setting a custom MAC address on Android was very easy for rooted users. Starting with Android 12, however, Google's implementation of MAC address randomization has made it impossible, as the MAC address is always changed when the network state is altered. If you have encountered this problem, then you need MACsposed! MACsposed is an Xposed module that blocks the MAC address randomizer on Android 12 through 14 and allows you to once again make use of your favorite tools for setting your MAC address. Simply install MACsposed, enable it, and go back to randomizing your MAC address using your favorite tools for doing so!

⚠️ WARNING: MACsposed is intended for rooted devices running Android 12 through 14 and requires Xposed. The required Xposed variant to use is LSPosed. Other Xposed variants will not work. Additionally, this module cannot be guaranteed to work on all devices. In the worst case, it can cause a bootloop. Use at your own risk.

To use MACsposed:

Install LSposed. This requires your device to be rooted with Magisk or KernelSU. Installation instructions for LSPosed are available here. Install MACsposed. Activate the MACsposed module in the LSposed user interface. Reboot your device and sign in. Open the quick settings panel. The MACsposed tile will appear. Toggle the MACsposed tile on or off to enable or disable it. Use your favorite tool for setting a custom MAC address!

What's new

v1.3.0Aug 17, 2026
  • After a long pause in development, we're back! 🥳
  • MACsposed 1.3.0 adds support for Android 16 and Android 17, and migrates to LSPosed API 101. An LSPosed build with API 101 support is required; this version is not compatible with API 100-only frameworks. If you are unable to use an LSPosed version that supports API 101, then you must stay on MACsposed v1.2.5.
  • Other changes introduced with this release include:
  • Long-pressing the Quick Settings tile will now open MACsposed instead of showing the app info screen. An issue that prevented setting the physical MAC address from working correctly on some devices when disabling the MAC address override hook has been corrected. A user interface bug that would intermittently cause the app to incorrectly report that the module is disabled has been resolved. A bug that would intermittently cause the app to crash when attempting to launch it has been fixed. Devices that use the MediaTek MT6877 chipset should no longer fail to apply MAC address changes. This fix was tested with a limited set of users. If your device uses MediaTek MT6877 and continues to fail, please open a ticket on the MACsposed issue tracker. When a subscription is suspended due to a payment issue, the app now shows guidance to update your payment method in the Google Play Store instead of offering additional purchase options.
