Fixed: the ping test on the free servers spun for ever and never showed a number. One server carrying a setting the core does not recognise stopped every server in the list from being tested, not just itself, and 88 of the 200 in a test run carried it. The same thing could stop a connection from starting at all.
Two settings were involved, both copied straight from the server link into the core: an Xray-only encryption flow, and a browser fingerprint of "unsafe" that the SNI-block bypass sets. Nova now translates what it can and drops what it cannot, so a server Nova does not understand fails on its own instead of taking the list down with it.
Worth updating for if you use the free servers: on 1.17.0 the ping test cannot work at all.
