TRIfA (Tox Reference Implementation for Android) is a Tox client: a new type of instant messaging focused on privacy. While other popular services require payment for additional features, Tox is completely free and comes with no ads, forever. Does TRIfA connect to any third party servers? TRIfA (excluding the toxcore library) uses Google Firebase and a third-party server to deliver push notifications to other Tox mobile users when they are offline. This allows mobile devices to enter sleep mode, saving battery and network bandwidth during periods of inactivity. Rest assured that the push notifications do not contain any message data — the request sent by TRIfA includes only the FCM token of your contact(s). No ToxID, name, or message content is transferred in the process. ℹ️ Note This is a debug version: it's larger than usual because it contains additional testing info.
