MiPush Framework

Brings MIUI-style system-level push notifications to non-MIUI systems.

The framework provides a system push service under the package name com.xiaomi.xmsf, so apps that use Xiaomi Push can delegate notifications to a single framework process instead of each keeping their own XMPushService running in the background. It also keeps compatibility features such as notification rewriting, event monitoring, configuration rules, focus notifications, HyperIsland, and Android live notifications.

Features

- Centralised push service: provides the system push entry point under com.xiaomi.xmsf, handling app registration, long connections, downstream dispatch, and basic ACK or error reporting. - App registration and event monitoring: shows registered apps, registration status, connection state, push events, and notification records. - Configuration rule engine: rewrites message titles, content, and behaviour from a config file, with support for ignoring, waking the screen, normal notification, or launching the app. - Notification compatibility: aligns with parts of stock XMSF behaviour, including notification grouping, click behaviour, buttons, VoIP call styles, SweetTag rich text, and empty-content filtering. - Focus notifications and HyperIsland: supports explicit miui.focus.param, integrates HyperIsland ToolKit, SystemUI proxy delivery, focus authentication toggles, and multi-template routing. - Live notifications: progress-type messages use Android 16+ Notification.ProgressStyle and promoted ongoing, with older versions falling back to regular progress notifications. - Log export: runtime logs are stored as JSONL and rotated daily. Exports remove old text logs and redact sensitive fields such as tokens.

Setup

1. Install the APK. 2. Follow the setup wizard to complete basic configuration. 3. Installing the framework as a system app is recommended. Some apps only register system push when com.xiaomi.xmsf appears in the system app list. 4. Optionally enable advanced options such as push service keep-alive. 5. If target apps still do not register with the framework, a disguise enhancement module is usually needed so the app recognises the device as having a MIUI or XMSF push environment.

Note

Do not suppress com.xiaomi.xmsf with battery or background limitation tools. Doing so directly affects long connections, registration replay, notification publishing, and log collection.

Limitations

- Special adaptations for uncommon ROMs are only handled when they do not break the main push path. - Some apps or ROMs may not automatically disable their own XMPushService. - Certain notification features depend on the ROM, system permissions, SystemUI behaviour, or the target app's payload, and cannot be guaranteed across devices. - Some notifications may still appear as coming from the push framework rather than fully appearing as the target app itself.
