About this app

The headphones will wear out sooner or later. Until then,Ylih will answer the only really important question about a pair of headphones: How many hours have you listened to it?

Ylih notes the time every time the headphones are connected. Each time it disconnects, it also records the time. That's the whole idea-just because a connection only has two timestamps, the app doesn't need to run in the background to complete the recording.

recorded content

·Total usage time per pair of physical headphones. After the headphones are scrapped, retire them-the total duration is frozen here, and the next pair of headphones of the same model will be counted from scratch as the second generation, and the old and new numbers will never be mixed together. ·For each connection, permanently save: connection time, disconnection time, and reason for the end. ·Playback duration (optional): During this connection time, how much of the audio is actually playing, so hanging around your neck won't count as listening. ·Cost per hour, as long as you fill in the purchase price. Watching this number continue to drop will be a great sense of accomplishment.

Two tracking models

Bluetooth only-default mode. The app does not run any programs, nothing appears in the notification bar, and there is no additional power consumption because Android passes connection events to the app even when it closes.

Detailed tracking-optional. You can record wired and USB headphones and count the ratio of playback time to connection time. It requires a silent, lowest-priority notification because Android will only report wired plug-in events to running apps. This is the only reason why this notice exists.

Regardless of which mode, the Bluetooth headset will be tracked.

Numbers that are still credible years later

If a crash or restart is quietly calculated by twelve hours, the total long-term duration is meaningless. Therefore:

·Connections that cannot be closed normally due to a restart or crash will be closed at the last known heartbeat, and never later than the moment the phone is turned on. The time when the phone is turned off is never counted. ·If the headset is still connected after restarting, the app will start a new connection instead of stretching the old connection across the interval. ·Heartbeats continue to be sent while the connection is open, so even if a disconnection event is missed, the error caused will be limited.

Privacy is guaranteed by design

Ylih does not have networking rights. No accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything is stored in a local database on your phone-the only thing you can copy it outside of your device is the backup feature that comes with Android, provided you turn it on.

Settings → Export will write all your history into a readable JSON file, and import will restore it, so you won't lose your numbers even if you change your phone.

permissions

·Nearby devices (Bluetooth): Used to receive connection events and read the headset name. Without this permission, Bluetooth tracking cannot work at all. ·Notifications: Notifications for detailed tracking only. ·Boot on: Used to close connections that cannot be reported normally due to shutdown.

Multi-language support
