A ring sweeps for stages that can measure themselves and spins for the ones that cannot, with the percentage inside. • The resolution recorded against a download is the one actually selected, not the one requested. Asking for 480p from a source that only publishes 1080p no longer produces a file labelled 480p. Duplicate subtitle tracks are collapsed, so exports stop leaving two identical sidecars beside the MP4. The provider download badge now reflects whether the app can save the episode, rather than whether the provider's website has download links. • Faster cold start: Media3's download index no longer opens on the main thread during startup (211ms of 440ms measured on a TV stick). Playback and downloads now share one database connection instead of opening two against the same file. Startup records why the app closed last time and what device it is running on. A TV that "just exits" leaves nothing in the crash log, so this is what will finally identify the Fire Stick reports.
