🚀 CodeAssist 3.24.0 COMPOSE PREVIEW

Live literals. Change a number, string, color or boolean in a file with @Preview and the preview updates as you type, without waiting for the whole file to be processed again. Literal controls. Put the caret on a literal in a preview file and a small chip appears above it: -/+ buttons and a drag-to-scrub handle for numbers, a color swatch that opens the color picker for Color(0xAARRGGBB), and a switch for booleans. A scrub is one undo step. Fixed: an edit below an unchanged composable sometimes did not show up in the preview. Fixed: a top-level val kept its first value after you edited it. The preview now re-runs only the parts of the file an edit touched, so updates are faster. RESOURCE PREVIEW

Animated drawables play. <animation-list> shows each frame for its duration, and <animated-vector> runs its animations: rotation, scale, color, alpha, trim paths and path morphing, with the standard interpolators. Play, pause and restart controls sit under the preview. AI AGENT

OpenAI reasoning models work again. Newer OpenAI models failed on the first message because they could not use tools. The agent now uses OpenAI's Responses API, so they keep their tools and their reasoning across a run of tool calls. Custom gateways are easier to set up. Pasting a URL and key together, or a base URL ending in /v1, no longer breaks every request. Gateways that need no API key are allowed. Clearer connection errors. Instead of "model isn't available", the chat now says what went wrong: no server at that address, a DNS lookup that failed (and what can block it, like Private DNS or a VPN), an untrusted certificate, or a refused or timed-out connection. A model that no longer exists offers a replacement. If your saved model was removed (for example gemini-2.5-pro for new projects), the error offers a one-tap switch to a model that works. In the Arabic UI, English messages in the chat now read left to right correctly, and the chat title no longer breaks mid-word. STABILITY

Fixed a crash when typing quickly in the editor. Fixed a crash when background work was cancelled by a code completion request. A plugin built for a different version of CodeAssist no longer crashes the app on every launch. It is skipped, and the Plugins screen shows why. ADS
