About this app
An open-source Google Tasks alternative to quickly jot down tasks. Inspired by the System-24 theme and Windows Mobile design system, its design is set to evolve into something even more eye-catching.
Features
- Simple note taking and list making: Includes an undo delete feature. - Retro terminalesque design: Inspired by Unix customizations found online. - Use unix like commands to set or remove notes tabs. - Lightweight: Consumes only 0.05% CPU and 128KB of RAM. After all, simple apps shouldn't need more—remember, the Apollo mission operated on a computer with around 4KB of RAM! - Highly customizable: Offers many themes with plans to add more customizations such as fonts, font sizes, and border colors.
Features That Won't Be Added
- Editing a note: Experience shows that editing a todo list can lead to chaining multiple tasks. The purpose here is to quickly jot down ideas and tasks, not for deep thinking. For that, a dedicated text editor is more appropriate.
No Cloud Integration
- This app is designed to operate entirely locally, with no cloud storage involved. The app doesn't asks for internet permissions and cannot connect to the internet. Further updates won't add internet permissions either, by design.
Usage
- Use the input box to make new notes, touch a note to strikethough it, marking it done. - Pressing √d deletes a note it can be restored from recycle bin with √r, √e empties the recycle bin. - To add a new note tab, use the ///TabName format. - To remove any tab (except the Main tab), use the \\\TabName format. - Long press any tab to rename or delete it, or add new tab. - Custom fonts are now supported.

What's new
- Fixes
- Floating Action Button behavior: one tap now focuses it. Tapping it again to close the keyboard was causing problems in Android WebView. - Toast position is no longer beneath the navigation bar. - Faster loading and better game performance, with code improvements. - Calendar event list text now wraps.
- Design
- If the keyboard focus button was tapped, the keyboard now opens automatically when the app is back in focus. - Added a one-tap Puff button in the tab menu to delete all marked notes in that tab. - Revamped Settings page. - Widget buttons and the ones below the input bar now use capital letters. - Replaced two older themes with new ones. - More visible line separating notes in the list.
- New features
- New toggle for using Enter as a newline. - New recurring tasks and reminders (beta): start a note with !Nx to repeat it. For example, !1d daily, !3d every 3 days, !1w weekly, !2m every 2 months, !1y yearly, !m15 on the 15th of every month, !wsa every Saturday, !y05-01 every May 1st. - Deleting one occurrence deletes the whole series, and restoring brings it back whole. - Completing an occurrence queues the next one automatically. - To pin a note to the status bar, add it as a journal or calendar entry for today.
