Readwide

Readwide is a local storage-focused file reader and viewer on Android for TXT, Markdown, PDF, EPUB, Word documents, images, comics archives, and standard archiving workflows.

Main Features

A program for reading text files with accurate display of pages and bookmarks for large files, as well as a general page search function. To read Markdown, a visual model of a WebView page with a thematic design is used; the text file (TXT) remains in the same model as the original page. Search options for text on a page in TXT, Markdown, EPUB, HWP/HWPX and Word formats: case sensitive, whole word search, regular expression search, go to nth match and determine current/total number of matches (where supported). PDF reader with single page and continuous vertical scan modes, bookmark recovery, sliders/page management, and inertial panning when zooming. A program for reading EPUB files via WebView, including handling reformat/fixed layout boundaries and integration with reading themes. Word family document filter: OOXML word: .docx, .docm, .dotx, .dotm HWP/HWPX: .hwp,.hwpx The Legacy .doc feature is recognized by the Word filter, but is not yet displayed. Reading text in HWP/HWPX using Apache-2.0 dogfoot libraries ( hwplib, hwpxlib). This is a non-Hancom compatible way of rendering the layout. Image viewer with archived image sequences, position saving, additional page touch zones, adaptive image fitting and left-to-right/right-to-left display mode. Archive browsing and extraction/creation workflows for supported ZIP, 7z, TAR-families, RAR/CBR, ALZ and EGG formats, with conservative support boundaries. File browser features: recent files/folders, search/filter, bookmarks, folder shortcuts, multiple selection, copy/move/delete, archive extract/compress queues and progress bar. Support for reader themes, custom colors, toolbar/icon display order, and display rules.
