About this app
An open-source Android digital wellbeing utility that interrupts unwanted short-video scrolling and helps users keep the boundaries they choose.
Unlike screen-time limiters that impose minute budgets or daily quotas, it works on behavior, not clocks: it interrupts the endless swipe loop while keeping single pieces of content and everyday social features reachable.
- Interrupts the chain, not the single video: a deliberately opened Short or TikTok video can be watched to the end; the swipe toward the next one is where protection kicks in. - Keeps socializing available: Instagram messaging, profile information, Stories and Search, TikTok inbox/DMs/profile/search/comments, and normal YouTube videos stay usable. - No time limits, no quotas, no lockouts. Protected media grids (including Saved, Likes and Reposts) are exited on entry.
Core detection and protection run on-device using Android's native Accessibility Service (canRetrieveWindowContent). View routes are evaluated in memory without screenshots, keystroke logging, or inspected content added to network payloads. Optional pseudonymous telemetry is off by default and requires explicit opt-in.
Features
- Behavior-Based Shield: Instagram Home/Explore are covered in place and Reels are exited; TikTok and YouTube Shorts chains are interrupted on the first swipe toward the next video. - Single Videos Stay Watchable: the endless chain is what gets closed, not the content. - Social Safe Zones: DMs, Stories, profiles, Search and comments stay usable while protected media is interrupted. - Focused Intervention: Instagram profile chrome is released on tap. Routine blocks are silent. - Modern Vector UI: over 50 scalable vector icons, edge-to-edge dark theme, Turkish/English interface with in-app language switch. - Lean Build: no advertising or analytics SDKs. - Privacy-First Core: Accessibility analysis is in-memory on-device, no screen recording, no key-event filtering. - Streaks & Achievements: local daily protection streaks and optional progress. - Peak Hour Insight: the most vulnerable hour of the day on the home dashboard. - Impact Dashboard: local analytics per platform and Instagram protection time.
Supported platforms

Sideloading and Android 13+ setup
Google Play Protect Warning / Block:
- Keep Play Protect enabled and verify that the APK came from the official release. - If Android offers "More details" and "Install anyway", continue only if the source is trusted. - If installation remains blocked and no override is offered, do not disable Play Protect. Install the F-Droid build instead or wait for the Google Play release.
Restricted Settings:
If the Accessibility switch is greyed out:
- Long-press the app icon and tap App Info, or go to Settings > Apps. - Tap the three dots in the top-right corner. - Select "Allow restricted settings" and confirm with the device PIN or fingerprint. - Return to Accessibility and toggle the service on.
Privacy and network boundaries
- On-device core analysis: the Accessibility Service evaluates UI hierarchies strictly in-memory. No screenshots, no screen recording, no keystroke logging. A separate disclosure with "Agree and open settings" and "Not now" is shown before Android Accessibility Settings can open; declining leaves protection off without locking the app. - Internet permission: declared for one optional purpose. Optional Usage Data is off by default; the switch opens a detailed confirmation before the first report. If enabled, it transmits a random installation ID, aggregate intervention counts, Instagram protection time, device model, screen metrics, and app/OS version information, with a 24-hour attempt limit. No personal identifiers (IMEI, MAC, Android ID, Ad ID). Core protection never uses the network. - No third-party trackers: no commercial advertising, Google Analytics, Firebase or third-party tracking SDKs.

What's new
- The app no longer locks you out of Instagram entirely. It only blocks the infinite scroll feed and Explore grid, while Stories, DMs, the search bar and profile pages stay open. - Replaced the harsh "Blocked!" screen with a gentle neon shield icon and calming messages like "Feed Protected" and "Explore Protected". - Endless grids like Saved posts, Likes and Reposts are now blocked as soon as you open them. - When you switch to Home or Explore, the feed is shielded before the page even loads, so videos no longer pop up for a moment. - Tapping into Reels immediately turns the screen black and takes you back.
- TikTok
- TikTok opens normally so you can watch the video you intended to see, but swiping to the next video in For You or Friends closes the app and returns you home. - Tapping Following or Live bounces you back to the main view. - Opening comments, checking DMs or viewing a profile no longer triggers a block.
- YouTube
- A YouTube Short you deliberately open can be watched to the end, but swiping up for the next one immediately closes the Shorts player. - Scrolling through comments or replies under a Short no longer closes the video.
- Interface
- Added a subtle slide and fade animation between bottom tabs. - Made setup buttons larger, with a simpler "Open Settings" permission prompt. - Added a helper card and guide link for restricted settings on Android 13 and newer, and on phones like Xiaomi or Samsung. - Moved the developer letter to the About screen so onboarding is faster. - Added a fresh startup logo, a minimal leaf notification icon and a monochrome app icon. - Turning on the accessibility toggle now brings you back to the app automatically. - Added a local daily streak and XP tracker. - A light vibration now signals when a feed is blocked.
- Security
- All blocking decisions now happen strictly on your device, with no remote rule fetching and no internet connection required. - No private data is collected. Your messages, passwords, screenshots and streak or XP counts are never sent to any server.
