Meshtastic, through meshtasticd, the Meshtastic Linux daemon. The official Meshtastic app connects on port 4403. MeshCore, through meshcored, built from MeshCore's companion_radio firmware. MeshCore clients connect on port 5000. One radio and one USB descriptor means exactly one daemon runs at a time. Switching protocol stops one and starts the other. Each keeps its own identity, contacts and settings, so switching back finds the node as you left it.
