What's New
Release v1.1.9 - Stability & Redesign
- Bug fixes: Minor bugs and logic inconsistencies relative to the original Flowseal core have been fixed, along with overall application stability improvements.
- Minor redesign: The dark theme has been slightly reworked, with zigzag orbs added to the background, and the Info section has become more informative, useful, and well-designed.
- Compatibility: The armeabi-v7a build is now compiled with Go 1.19 instead of Go 1.26, which should provide better compatibility with older devices.
- Stability on newer Android: DataSync has been removed from the manifest and code, as it could cause crashes over time on newer Android versions. Notification loops have also been slightly reworked to prevent erratic behavior in the notification drawer.
- 🚩 IMPORTANT: It cannot be guaranteed that these changes will resolve certain compatibility issues on older devices. If new issues arise or old ones persist, please report them in the issue tracker. Also, automatic changelog parsing has been removed during auto-updates.
- Additional information: Information about DC IP addresses and configuration details can be found here: Flowseal, and also here: IMDelewer.
- Errors: If any errors appear while the proxy is still working, they can be ignored.
Description
TG WS Proxy Android is a mobile fork of the popular TG WS Proxy by Flowseal, redesigned for comfortable use on modern smartphones.
TG WS Proxy Android is a local MTProto proxy for Telegram on Android. The app helps partially bypass blocks and, in some scenarios, speeds up the messenger by routing traffic through secure CloudFlare WebSocket connections or directly to Telegram's datacenters.
Features of the Android Version:
- Modern UI/UX: Fully adapted for the latest Android interface based on Material 3 and Jetpack Compose. Main actions are quick and screens are uncluttered.
- Telegram Integration: The "Apply in Telegram" button automatically passes the proxy to compatible clients via tg://proxy (AyuGram, Plus Messenger, NekoGram, and others).
- Background Mode: Uses a Foreground Service, a service notification, and additional connection-holding logic to prevent Android from unloading the proxy too aggressively.
- Log Viewer: Built-in real-time event viewer to quickly understand connection status, routing, and connection pool behavior.
- Themes & Palettes: Supports Dynamic Colors on Android 12+, as well as built-in palettes for older devices.
- In-App Auto-Updates: No need to manually check for releases – when a new version is available, the app will show an update notification.
- Information Section: Contains extended help on settings, CloudFlare specifics, WS connection pools, and manual datacenter configuration.
What's New in Version 1.1.3:
- New Redesign: The interface has been updated to a more modern UI/UX. Navigation, cards, visual hierarchy, and overall feel have been improved.
- Modal Window Bugfixes: Improved stability and behavior of modal windows and auxiliary dialogs (help, updates, donations, manual settings).
- Core Proxy Updates: Most work has been done on the native engine, improving handling of network scenarios, fallback routes, WS connections, and background connection persistence.
- Improved Stability: Added more techniques and algorithms for longer, more resilient proxy operation on Android, especially on unstable mobile networks.
- No False Promises: Despite improvements, long-term continuous and absolutely stable operation cannot be guaranteed on every device, carrier, or Android firmware.
- Updated Information Section: Better visual presentation of help, additional feature explanations, and more useful configuration information.
- Feedback Needed: This release focuses on bugfixes and core proxy improvements. Feedback on stability, connection speed, background behavior, or CloudFlare performance is especially valuable.
How It Works:
Telegram Android → Local MTProto (default 127.0.0.1:1443) → TG WS Proxy → WSS (via CloudFlare or directly) → Telegram DC
1. The app starts a local MTProto proxy using a native Go engine.
2. It intercepts Telegram connections via the local port and a generated secret key.
3. It extracts the DC ID from the original packet and establishes a secure WebSocket (TLS) connection to the relevant datacenter, optionally proxying traffic through CloudFlare.
4. It uses a connection pool, keepalive mechanisms, and fallback scenarios for more resilient operation in real-world network conditions.
Quick Start:
1. Download the latest APK.
2. Install the app on your Android smartphone.
3. Open TG WS Proxy Android.
4. Read the in-app help section.
5. Tap "Start Proxy" – a foreground notification will appear.
6. Tap "Apply in Telegram" – your Telegram client will open, and you just need to confirm the connection.
