The Fake Power Off app convincingly simulates a device shutdown with a subtle animation, effectively deterring unauthorized access without actually powering off the device. Download the APK. 2. Grant the necessary accessibility and DND permissions. 3. Enable Fake Power Off in the settings menu. 4. Configure the remaining settings as needed, especially the dismiss sequence. 5. Hold the power button for ~5 seconds to open the original power menu. 6. FPO will dismiss the original power menu and show a fake one. 7. Pressing any button in the fake menu will trigger the fake shutdown. 8. Recover from the black overlay using your set dismiss sequence (default: UUDD). Notes - You can also hard-reset the device (hold the power button for ~10 seconds) if you can't dismiss the black overlay. - Some elements, like the fingerprint animation, may appear over the overlay, so disable the lock-device setting. - Everything else—calls, notifications, alarms, etc.—won't appear over the overlay.
