eBookSender

eBookSender transfers books, documents, and manga to e-readers over FTP. It works entirely on your local network — no cloud services or intermediate computer required. It can plan the directory structure on the target device and unifies local files, OPDS catalogues, and manga downloads into a single send queue.

If your e-reader has an FTP server, just install the app, connect your phone and e-reader to the same Wi-Fi network (or enable a hotspot on your phone and connect the e-reader to it), then enter the FTP address in the app.

Transfer and catalogue

- Supported formats: epub, fb2, mobi, prc, azw, azw3, txt, text, diff, po, log, ini, conf, rtf, rtx, pdf, djvu, djv, doc, dot, docx, cbz, cbr - Books and documents also accepted in ZIP wrappers (e.g. book.fb2.zip); contents and extension are preserved - Add files from within the app or via Android's Share menu - Single and batch sending with queue, progress, and background transfer via foreground service - Customisable directory layout for books, documents, and manga - Filename templates with tokens: {title}, {author}, {tag}, {series}, {volume}, {year}, {language}, {index}, {publisher}, {ext}, {original} - Atomic transfer: file is uploaded as a temporary .uploading, then renamed on success

Metadata and file preparation

- Extracts title, author, series, year, language, publisher, and other available metadata - Cover previews in the send queue for EPUB, FB2, MOBI/AZW3, PDF, and manga archives - Manual adjustment of category, series, and other data before sending - Bulk series editing for multiple manga chapters in the queue - For CBZ files, the app updates ComicInfo.xml and normalises the archive structure before sending

Device interaction

- Connection by QR code or manual FTP address entry - Automatic PocketBook detection via the explorer-3.db service database; other FTP servers are treated as generic devices - Browse the connected device's catalogue, delete files and folders with confirmation - Multi-selection, drag-selection, and auto-scroll in edit mode - Optional VPN bypass for local FTP connections

The app is a tool for working with files and grants no rights to third-party content. FTP transfers may occur without encryption if the selected device or server does not support a secure mode.
