SoundCloud Lite

Unofficial SoundCloud client for Android. No ads, no captcha, no censorship, available in Russia.

A native SoundCloud client that uses the same backend as SoundCloud Desktop, so the entire catalog is available directly. Written in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and Media3.

Two versions, same features, different look:

- SoundCloud Full: Glass design with glass, auras, animations, dedicated screens and player. - SoundCloud Lite: a simple interface for minimalism and weaker phones.

How to log in

Without logging in, the app stops at the login screen (except offline mode with downloaded tracks). Methods: - QR from desktop (recommended): in SoundCloud Desktop open "Transfer session to another device", then in the app tap "Open camera" and scan the code. - QR from phone: on the login screen tap "Show QR for login" and scan it on a device already logged in. - Via browser: the "Log in via browser" button opens the standard SoundCloud login. The session may expire if you log in elsewhere later.

- Wave and recommendations: personal feed, shelves, radio from a track and from an artist - Search: tracks, artists, playlists, albums, and vibe search (beta) - Player: background playback, notification controls, waveform, shuffle/repeat, gestures, synced lyrics where available - Smooth transitions between tracks, 1 to 30 seconds - Equalizer with system and custom presets - Audio output: speaker, wired headphones, Bluetooth or USB - Queue: "play next" from any track's menu

Import (beta)

- YouTube / YouTube Music: track or playlist by link (VPN required in Russia) - Yandex Music: likes, playlists and albums by token or Yandex login - Spotify: playlists, albums and tracks by link

For Yandex and Spotify, similar tracks are searched on SoundCloud rather than transferring the originals. Found tracks can be queued for download right away.

SoundCloud Auto (beta)

- Auto-start music when connecting to the car via Bluetooth - Choice of source, devices and shuffling - Separate equalizer preset for the car, previous one restored after disconnection

Network

- Multiple hosts and relay nodes, nodes find themselves - Manual node selection with ping and 64 KB check - A "no network / server unavailable" banner appears only if there is no connection for 15 seconds

Appearance

- 9 languages - Themes, custom background, accent and text colors, RGB palette, theme export and import - App icon: purple, blue or orange - Full only: Glass interface, profile aura for Star, immersive player

Data and trust

The app works through the *.scnative.space backend (the same as the desktop version). The SoundCloud session and tokens are stored on this backend; only the session identifier is kept on the phone.

"Log out" deletes the session both on the backend (POST /auth/logout) and all data on the phone.

A direct fallback path to SoundCloud (can be disabled in settings) connects to soundcloud.com without your session.

The Yandex Music token for import is stored only on the phone. The app never sees the Yandex password: login happens on Yandex's own page.
