ToBeVPN

A native Android client for a VPN network with secure connection, subscription management, and device binding. It includes per-app traffic splitting, cross-device QR pairing, a built-in updater, and encrypted local storage.

Features

- Secure connection: modern protocol with traffic obfuscation. - Per-app split tunnelling: Off, Whitelist, or Blacklist modes, with live reconnect when the setting changes. - Authorisation: no login or password, device binding instead. - Subscription: renewal and plan changes. - TV connection: QR pairing for Android TV or another device. - Server selection: node list with ping, flags, and online/offline status. - Speed test: connection speed measurement. - In-app updater: check and install updates inside the app. - Light, Dark, Russian, and English modes with manual switching. - Encrypted local database, with the key held in Android Keystore. - Fallback proxy: automatic retry through a backup route when the main backend is unavailable.

Security

- Local database is encrypted, with the key stored in the hardware-backed Android Keystore. - Sensitive data (tokens, subscription key, email) is excluded from backups. - Backend hosts are not stored in the source code and are injected at build time. - Authorisation uses no long-lived tokens on the device.
